 WebAdvisor Help

WebAdvisor (http://go.bergen.edu) is the online registration program for Bergen Community College.  Students receive login information from the college.

Q: What if I don't know my User ID?

A:  IF NEW to WebAdvisor --

If students have not used WebAdvisor before, or if they don't remember their User ID, they can follow the links to get their User ID.

(Click on the "I'm new to WebAdvisor" link or the "Account Information" link found at the bottom of the Main Menu screen.)

They will be asked to enter their last name and either their Student ID number (a.k.a. Colleague ID) or their Social Security Number.

A: IF RETURNING to WebAdvisor --

Go to WebAdvisor and click the Current Students box and then the line -- "What's My User ID?"

Q:  What do I do if I don't know my password?

A:  IF NEW to WebAdvisor,

They will be asked to enter their last name and either their Student ID number or their Social Security Number.

An email WITH THE TEMPORARY PASSWORD will be sent to the personal email account (on file with the Registration Office). Please note: If you registered for classes and had to use a temporary Social Security Number, this is the number you will have to enter unless you have provided the Registrar's office with a copy of your official Social Security card.

A: IF RETURNING to WebAdvisor

If a student forgets their password, they can automatically reset that password if they have an email address on file

Note: If students do not have an email address on file, or if that email account is no longer in use, they must go to the Registration Office and speak to a person to have the password reset.

Resetting a password is a multi-step process.

  1. A temporary password is sent to the student's email address on file with the college.
  2. That password will give the student temporary access to WebAdvisor.
  3. The student will immediately be prompted to devise a new password that they can remember.
  4. The form will ask them to enter their "old password" which is the temporary one.
  5. Then, they will have an opportunity to create their own password.

Q:  How can I report a change in my email account?

A:  Students can update their email account on file with the college through the "Email Address Change" option on their "Current Students" menu.  Students must be logged into WebAdvisor to have this choice.

Q: How can I report a change of address to WebAdvisor?

A: The student needs to bring in a Driver's license or other official document (such as apartment lease) showing their current address to the Registration Office.
